​​About Us
Kearney Literacy Council (KLC) has been dedicated to promoting literacy in the Kearney, Nebraska, area since the early 1980s. Through literacy-based programs and events, KLC works to create awareness and community-wide support to meet the need of increasing literacy and access to books.
We believe that reading, writing, and effective communicating are critical to personal freedom and quality of life. KLC aims to facilitate literacy skills in all people and encourage them to become lifelong readers.
